Articles and Ebooks: The Ultimate Leverage on the Web

By Jeff Herring

"You do not have to be good to start, but you do have to start to be good."

Please burn the above quote into your brain. Post it on the inside of your eyelids. Remember it and use it.

It's been said that content is king on the web, and it true. I like to say that on the web content is king and queen.

In other words, content is royalty on the web.

The two most powerful forms of content on the web are articles and ebooks

Both articles and ebooks are simply your expertise in print. It's as simple as that.

Every single one of you reading this article has expertise.

In your area of expertise, what are 7 things a person can do to improve their situation? Write those down.

Now add two or three points under each of the 7 points. Perhaps a quite or example under one or two of them.

That's an article.

Now add an example, a story, and a quote for each of the points. Then recommend a plan of action to implement each of the points.

That's an ebook.

I know I could make it a more difficult process for you, but why? This the bottome line.

Remember, you do not have to be good to start, but you do have to start to be good.

When and how will you start?

Publish Your Own Ebook

By Amin Sadak

In my case, I publish ebooks for money – the number 1 motivation behind all ebooks on the internet today.

But do you even know how to start?

Do you have any idea about the topic you want to write about?

How about the actual compilation of the ebook?

What about marketing the ebook once you’ve compiled it?

All of these factors need to be addressed before you start work on your project.

First of all, you’ll need to get the logistics right. Will you be writing your ebook in MS Word or will you be typing it directly into some sort of ebook publishing software? Most authors start their work in MS Word and then transfer it to an ebook compiler software program when they have finished.

Which topic will you write about? Many experienced authors suggest that you write about a topic you are passionate about. This is common sense and works well if you know a lot about one particular topic.

Most people don’t have in-depth knowledge in one particular area which limits their chances of writing a concise ebook. However, there are ways around this and you can pick up more information about writing for money from: http://www.ebook-publishing-software.com

For example, you can visit www.elance.com and hire “ghost writers” to write an ebook for you which you can then sell online.

Next, you need to decide which format you’d like your ebook available in. PDF ebooks are quite common and can be read by anyone who has Adobe Reader installed on their computer. Unfortunately, PDF ebooks are not as secure as EXE ebooks. EXE ebooks are made using specific ebook publishing software programs.

Some Ebook Software titles include:

Ebook Pro
Ebook Edit Pro
Activ Ebook Compiler
Easy Ebook pro
Ebook Starter
and much more…

Read reviews about these ebook generators at http://www.ebook-publishing-software.com

The disadvantage of using EXE ebook makers to compile and distribute your work is the fact that they can’t be used on Macintosh computers. If you want to cater for 90% of computer users, then an EXE ebook will be fine. If you wish to compile for absolutely everyone, you’ll need the less secure PDF method of compiling.

Once compiled, use the in-built password/security features of the ebook software to protect your ebook if you need to.

What do you do once you have you’re ebook ready for distribution to the World Wide Web? Now, you need to start thinking about marketing. There are many ways to market your ebook but the most common method is to build a website explaining the benefits of your ebook. Explain what problems it can solve for the reader.

To drive traffic to your website, you can do several things , each of which take time and hard work.

1) Optimize your website for visits from the Search Engines so you may rank higher than your competitors.

2) Pay for visits to your website by advertising on Google Adwords or any other Pay-Per-Click advertising method.

3) Pay a company a set fee to deliver thousands of visitors to your site

In addition to the above, there are many ways to bring visitors to your site. For example, you can buy pop-under traffic, expired domain traffic, newspaper advertising, ezine advertising and joint ventures.

Once you start to get a steady stream of visitors to your site, you’ll start to see your ebook sales rise.

6 Super Tips To Become Successful With Your Own Info-Product

By Azwan Asmat

There are many ways you can become successful with your own info-products. So, I’ve included some ideas and tips to help you.

1. Create e-books for other web sites or businesses. You could create them for no charge in exchange for an ad or a mention of your web site inside. You could also create them in exchange for getting the reprint rights to them.

2. Purchase reprint rights to other people's e-books and combine them in a large package deal with your own product. You should check with the reprint rights owners to see if they will allow it first. If you can't afford to buy reprint rights, you could always trade for them.

3. Allow people to use any of your freebies as free bonuses for products or services they sell. Include your ad on all your freebies. Some people only give away freebies in order to allow other people the right to give them away. You could also give them the right to include a freebie with their own product as a bonus. For example, "Feel free to use this free e-book as a bonus product!"

4. Learn sales ideas from reading and studying other businesses’ advertising and marketing material. It could be ads, brochures, TV ads, sales letters, etc. For example, if you see an attention-getting headline, rewrite it but don't copy it for your own product. Another example, if you seen an ad with a persuasive ‘before’ and ‘after’ picture, maybe you could do that for your own product.

5. Allow other people to give away your free e-book. This will increase the number of people who will see your ad in the e-book. You could also include a mini catalog of all your products or services that you offer in the e-book. You could include your own products or associate program’s products in the e-book.

6. Sell your own products or services. They should be related to your target audience. You want to be able to take credit cards on your site and deliver your product to them as fast as possible.

Use these tips well and you can become successful with your own info-product.

Get Rich Now Selling E-Books Online in 3 Easy Steps

By Alex Malave

I believe this is the most important thing you could learn about starting your own business. You can have all the information you need, you can even have Bill Gates as your financial advisor, but if you don't know this one concept I am about to share with you, will never make your dreams a reality.

Let me ask you a question. What is the number one reason most people don't succeed in business or any other area of their life? Is it because they don't know what to do? Sometimes that is the case, but most of the people I interview know exactly what to do step by step or they know where to get the information they need to begin building their business, but they simply don't do it, or worse they start and then get comfortable and are satisfied with only enough profit to pay the bills and they settle for less than what they deserve. In this article I will share with you what I believe is the most important key for success, and how you can apply it today, easily and start seeing your vision become reality. You can not only apply this tool for your business, but for any other area of your life that you have been procrastinating on or simply not getting the results you want.

Have you ever bought a book or piece of exercise machine and not used them? You wanted a specific result, but you didn't follow through. Now how come you didn't follow through? The reason you didn't follow through is because you were focused on all the effort and anguish that it was going to cost you to do the specific action. You truly wanted to, but couldn't get yourself to follow through, and instead you did something that was pleasurable and effortless like watch TV. This is it, I'm sorry this is so simple and easy, but this is the only reason why you didn't follow through on what you really wanted to do. Your body is wired up to want pleasure and it wants to stay away from what is uncomfortable. So how can we use this information to get ourselves to do whatever we want? Glad you asked.

Every day you are asking and answering thousands of questions to decide what you should do, and most of the time its unconscious. What should I wear? What do I want to eat? What do I have to do today? Your brain is constantly evaluating what to do based on the amount of comfort or discomfort you relate to a certain task or action. Another very interesting thing to point out is that you're brain will answer any question you ask it. If you ask yourself why can't I make any money? Or why do I never follow through? Your brain will search its database and come up with the best answer it can think of. Because your lazy or because you don't have any experience your brain will answer. Ask your brain better questions and you will get better answers that will empower you to take action. What questions do you ask though? And how can I apply this immediately to my business and life so I start feeling better and get myself to follow through right now.

How To Profit From Your Own E-Book

By Mike Morris

One of the most powerful viral marketing tools are free e-books, they can literally provide you with an entire network of people who promote your business, absolutely free. What should you be doing with your e-book to ensure this, here are a few pointers.

The most basic tip is provide real content. If you just fill your book with a sales pitch all they have to do is click the mouse and your book is history. Provide your reader with valuable information. This both captures interest and builds credibility. If a reader likes what they see it will make them more inclined to look at your other products.

Creating your e-book doesn't have to be a long Drawn out process burning the midnight oil whilst furiously tapping away at your keyboard. You could put together a few related articles and simply add a few comments or an introduction. If you get a lot of questions about a particular topic, then choose some and put together an e-book that offers the answers to these questions.

The two most common formats to use for e-books are 'EXE' format or 'PDF' format. Like most things there are good and bad in both. No matter what format you choose, create a layout that's clean, attractive, and easy to navigate. You can put in links to the main sections of your book and for web sites where the reader can find more information. N.B don’t overdo the graphics; the more you use, the larger the file size. It then takes longer for your e-book to download, remember one mouse click and it’s gone.

Your own e-book is a great opportunity to provide links to your site and products. You might consider putting your website URL and logo on the cover page. You can embed affiliate links where appropriate within the context of your articles. A good idea is to include a dedicated sales page at the end of your e-book to promote a related product.

Actively encourage people to pass your e-book on, make it clear that your reader is welcome to distribute the e-book, so long as nothing is changed. Suggest that they can put it on their own website as a gift for visitors, or perhaps they could offer it as a bonus for newsletter subscriptions. The more places you get your book promoted, the more exposure you get.

To get the initial exposure you must promote and keep promoting your e-book. You can do this by promoting it in a signature file on your e-mail, getting listed on e-book directories, distributing to announcement lists or creating a special web page just for the e-book and then submit that page to search engines. This is not a complete list of how to promote, use your imagination!

Testimonials are great for promotion, if people like your e-book you may get unsolicited testimonials. Ask for permission to use the testimonial within your marketing materials.

Finally, if you offer your free e-book in exchange for e-mail addresses use an auto responder to follow up once you have given the reader the e-book. Keep their interest whilst it’s at its peak and provide more free information encouraging them to look at what else you have to offer.

Adding Fresh Content to Your Existing Ebook

By Brian Holte

Ok, so you’re at that stage where you’ve gotten just enough content to publish your first e-book, finally the grunt work is out of the way.

Sit back and pat yourself on the shoulder for a job well done.

Next task on the list?

How to add fresh content to your already existing e-book, I personally find it much easier to add to an already existing e-book then to create an e-book!

But one does not shine without the other.

Can you think of any “sub-niche” market your target audience would like more information about, something that would definitely grab their attention and add:

  • Punch to your e-book.
  • Increased interest for your e-book.
  • but even more importantly…

  • Increased sales of your ebook.
  • Add a “higher perception value” to your already existing ebook.
  • How do you go about finding that all elusive nugget?

Always turn to your target market for the best ideas on which “sub-niche market’s” to explore next, not what you think they might be interested in but what they are buying and recommending to others.

    Case-In-Point:

A few months ago I created an e-book related to a certain breed of dog. I made it through the grunt work and now simply add to the e-book one step at a time, one product review or interview at a time.

I ended up picking (by reading what the most used products or most wanted products by this particular target market were) a pedigree software program for a back end sales product. This pedigree software program helps owners of animals keep all the details they could ever want to track in a database about their pets.

What owner wouldn’t want to know about a software program that could help make tracking certain details of their pets easy and convenient?

So I simply contacted the owner of this particular software program, told him that I was interested in including information about his product in the e-book I had created. He knew it was a win/win situation and gladly agreed to answer a couple of questions regarding how his software worked and what benefit it could bring to the reader.

The end result, more content for the e-book with only a few minutes of work involved on my part plus the possibilities of making commission from the back end sales of the pedigree software which sells for $95.00 U.S., which I get a nice chunk of every time someone clicks on my link and makes a purchase.

So you see, it’s not that hard to add fresh content to your e-book.

With the right angle, you can make your e-book unique from your competitors, more informative to the reader, putting more money in your pocket.

    Summary:

Expanding an already existing e-book is simply a matter of reading what products your target market purchases, analyzing their wants and needs, focusing on one “sub-niche market” at a time.

    Why Write an EBook?

    By Chris Geldof

It's not true that everything that has been said has already been written. Since that unfortunate axiom came into use, the whole universe has changed. Technology has changed, ideas have changed, and the mindsets of entire nations have changed.

The fact is that this is the perfect time to write an ebook. What the publishing industry needs are people who can tap into the world as it is today - innovative thinkers who can make the leap into the new millennium and figure out how to solve old problems in a new way.Ebooks are a new and powerful tool for original thinkers with fresh ideas to disseminate information to the millions of people who are struggling to figure out how to do a plethora of different things.

Let's say you already have a brilliant idea, and the knowledge to back it up that will enable you to write an exceptional ebook. You may be sitting at your computer staring at a blank screen wondering, "Why? Why should I go through all the trouble of writing my ebook when it's so impossible to get anything published these days?

Well, let me assure you that publishing an ebook is entirely different than publishing a book in print.Let's look at the specifics of how the print and cyber publishing industry differ, and the many reasons why you should take the plunge and get your fingers tapping across those keyboards!

Submitting a print book to conventional publishing houses or to agents is similar to wearing a hair shirt 24/7. No matter how good your book actually is, or how many critique services and mentor writers have told you that "you've got what it takes," your submitted manuscript keeps coming back to you as if it is a boomerang instead of a valuable mine of information.

Perhaps, in desperation, you've checked out self-publishing and found out just how expensive a venture it can be. Most "vanity presses" require minimal print runs of at least 500 copies, and even that amount will cost you thousands of dollars. Some presses' minimal run starts at 1,000 to 2,000 copies. And that's just for the printing and binding. Add in distribution, shipping, and promotional costs and -well, you do the math. Even if you wanted to go this route, you may not have that kind of money to risk.

Let's say you already have an Internet business with a quality website and a quality product. An ebook is one of the most powerful ways to promote your business while educating people with the knowledge you already possess as a business owner of a specific product or service.

For example, let's say that you've spent the last twenty-five years growing and training bonsai trees, and now you're ready to share your knowledge and experience. An ebook is the perfect way to reach the largest audience of bonsai enthusiasts.

Ebooks will not only promote your business - they will help you make a name for yourself and your company, and establish you as an expert in your field. You may even find that you have enough to say to warrant a series of ebooks. Specific businesses are complicated and often require the different aspects to be divided in order for the reader to get the full story.

Perhaps your goals are more finely tuned in terms of the ebook scene. You may want to build a whole business around writing and publishing ebooks. Essentially, you want to start an e-business. You are thinking of setting up a website to promote and market your ebooks. Maybe you're even thinking of producing an ezine.

One of the most prevalent reasons people read ebooks is to find information about how to turn their Internet businesses into a profit-making machine. And these people are looking to the writers of ebooks to provide them with new ideas and strategies because writers of ebooks are usually people who understand the new cyberspace world we now live in. Ebook writers are experts in Internet marketing campaigns and the strategies of promoting and distributing ebooks. The cyberspace community needs its ebooks to be successful so that more and more ebooks will be written.

You may want to create affiliate programs that will also market your ebook. Affiliates can be people or businesses worldwide that will all be working to sell your ebooks. Think about this? Do you see a formula for success here?

Figure out what your subject matter is, and then narrow it down. Your goal is to aim for specificity. Research what's out there already, and try to find a void that your ebook might fill.

What about an ebook about a wedding cake business? Or an ebook about caring for elderly pets? How about the fine points of collecting ancient pottery?

You don't have to have three masters degrees to write about your subject. People need advice that is easy to read and easily understood. Parents need advice for dealing with their teenagers. College students need to learn good study skills - quickly. The possibilities are endless.

    After you've writtten your ebook

Getting your ebook out is going to be your focus once you've finished writing it, just as it is with print books. People will hesitate to buy any book from an author they've never heard of. Wouldn't you?

The answer is simple: give it away! You will see profits in the form of promoting your own business and getting your name out. You will find affiliates who will ask you to place their links within your ebook, and these affiliates will in turn go out and make your name known. Almost every single famous ebook author has started out this way.

Another powerful tool to attract people to your ebook is to make it interactive. Invent something for them to do within the book rather than just producing pages that contain static text. Let your readers fill out questionnaires, forms, even crossword puzzles geared to testing their knowledge on a particular subject. Have your readers hit a link that will allow them to recommend your book to their friends and associates. Or include an actual order form so at the end of their reading journey, they can eagerly buy your product.

When people interact with books, they become a part of the world of that book. The fact is just as true for books in print as it is for ebooks.

That's why ebooks are so essential. Not only do they provide a forum for people to learn and make sense of their own thoughts, but they can also serve to promote your business at the same time.

Consider Self Publishing in Ebook Format

    By John Sweeney

Today, more than every before authors are presented with publishing opportunities that have never existed before. This is not to understate the hard work that authors have to go through to get recognition, write great books, and make a full time living from their passion of expression. However, it is to say that today, due to advances in communications technology, authors can now get their books distributed much easier than they could a decade ago. One very popular way that authors are distributing their work is digitally through ebooks. Digital books are gaining so much popularity that even some of the most popular authors in the world have used it to distribute their books. Stephen King for example published “Riding the Bullet” exclusively in ebook format. When this ebook began distribution over Barns and Nobel and Amazon.com there was so much demand for the download that the servers of these two book giants slowed down almost to a halt. People that wanted to download the ebook were put in a large queue with the hundreds of thousands of other who downloaded the ebook as well.

It’s not only big name authors that are finding success in ebooks. We at Ebook Architect have been helping authors create, market and sell their ebooks online for years now with great success. Many of these people are first time authors and are often amazed with the success of their ebook sales. Below are some of their ebook writing tips.

Don’t underestimate the power of the Ebook

Ebooks are still looked upon as unpopular by many authors who have not yet taken the time to learn about the success within this industry. For example, while the traditional publishing industry growing at the sluggish rate of 5% a year the digital publishing industry is growing at rates between 30% -50%. This means that the opportunities within the publishing industry are growing at a fraction of the rate that opportunities within the digital publishing industry are growing.

To set up an ebook you don’t need to be a tech wizard

Setting up your ebook from the idea conceptualization stage to the selling stage can’t be completed overnight but it is definitely something that can be done by anyone regardless of your technological background. If you can use a word processor then you can create and sell an ebook online. While it is recommended you set up your own website, it is not necessary. There are outlets such as amazon.com, EBay and Lulu.com to name only a few sites that allow you to post your ebook on their servers.

Setting up an Ebook site is virtually costless and you keep 100% of the profits

With traditional publishers you’ll be lucky to see 10% of the profits from your book. With ebooks however, you keep 100% of the profits minus the fees required to set up the site which are minimal. Here is the fee breakdown for ebooks vs traditional books

    Ebook vs Book cost
Ebook = Free to create an unlimited number of copies
Book = Approximately $1500 for 200 copies of a 200 page soft cover book

    Rights and profit
Ebook = You keep 100% of the profits and rights to your ebooks
Book = You get 10-40% royalty (usually about $2-$5/ book)

With the above examples it is easy to see that for first time authors ebooks make a lot of sense. The risk associated with publishing an ebook is much lower than it is with distributing a soft or hard cover book. Likewise, as an ebook author you’ll keep virtually all of your own profits.

If nothing else, it is something worth consideration. Ebooks may not replace traditional paperback books, but they certainly are gaining popularity at a rate that should make all authors stop to think about how they could use ebooks to their advantage.

How to Manage Your Won Money at Gambling and Sports Betting from Busting it Up at Online Sportsbook

    By Bruce Goldmayer

Have you heard stories about people hitting big jackpots, winning high staked all-in Texas Hold'Em poker or going on hot streaks in sports betting ???

    Of course you have.

And what happened with most of these (short time to get large amount of money) people ???

Simple answer -- they got a complex of being unbeatable and lost all the money they got in these short time and even went busting their entire bankroll in trying to get back on hot streak.

Don't let that to EVER happen to you.

All you have to do is to follow...

RULE No.1: Maintain The Right Money Management.

1st and most important rule you have to implement is how much money are you going to maximum bet on 1 bet ?

    These can either represent a:

    # % of your bankroll (like 2% or 5%) or # it can have a fix amount (like $200 or $5000).

I myself bet 5% of my current bankroll and I change my stake every 2 weeks (that's 2x a month). That means that I start a year with the 1st day of NBA regular season and I bet a $1000 on a single bet. Then I change amount every 2 weeks BUT my stake is always 5%.

    Example:

My starting bankroll is $20.000 and 5% is $1000. After 2 weeks my current bankroll is let's say $28.000 so 5% is $1400 and so I bet for the next 2 weeks $1400 on every SINGLE bet.

But don't just read these lines here but...

STOP READING AT THIS MOMENT and GET a decision HOW MUCH WILL YOU BET on every bet from now on !!!

Take as many time as you want (minutes or hours I don't care) but please don't do it for my sake but DO IT FOR YOURSELF !

Believe me you will thank me more then once in future for these step you will MAKE NOW !

    Let's continue to...

RULE No.2: Always bet on SINGLE bets ONLY !!!

The classic mistake an average bettor makes, is to bet on parlays. In any pro sports where any team can be defeated it is suicidal to bet on doubles or higher team parlays.

Yes -- the odds are getting also higher but your chances are more rapidly falling then odds for winning this parlay is increasing.

Fact: more teams you put in your parlays, the less chance you have to beat sportsbooks in the long run.

You might win some parlays once in a while but in the long run you are just throwing your money away.

    And that's it.

Stick with this simple 2 rules, obey them and you will be minimizing the risk of busting your entire bankroll in less then a week.

The Secrets to Writing Your Very Own Profit Pulling eBook!

    By William Johnston

I can guarantee that anyone can write an ebook. Everyone has their own interests which they can talk confidently about in depth and detail. With the amount of people on the internet nowadays, you can guarantee that there will be thousands of others with the same interest as you. Information is a huge bestseller on the internet. Thousands of people are dying to get their hands on a manual or expert guide about your interest. Therefore, there is a huge opportunity for you to spend a little time compiling a guide on your interest and selling it to those who desperately need it. What's even better is the fact that you can write, compile, and publish your ebook with no cost at all. You get to keep all the profits.

With such a great opportunity open to just about everybody with access to the internet, it is hard to imagine why so few people are writing their ebooks right now. Many people think that they don't have the writing finesse to publish a 10-20 page manual on their interest. However, although fluent writers do have an advantage, those who are reading your ebook are reading for the information and not for the quality of writing. Your knowledge and enthusiasm on your interest should shadow any technical writing weaknesses. I believe that the other reason why people are not writing their own ebooks is that they think it is too much effort and isn't worth it. Although ebooks do take time and effort to put together, the rewards are worth it. And don't forget that your ebook doesn't have to be more than 20 pages. Writing ebooks is the closest you can get to 'easy money'.

Deciding what to base your ebook on

Primarily, make sure you base your ebook on something you enjoy discussing. This will make writing about it more enjoyable, more fluent and you will write in a way that will hold your reader's interest. Be confident about your knowledge of your interest too. If you know everything there is to know, your ebook sales will skyrocket and you will become known across the internet as an expert in your field.

Look through other guides of the same subject as yours

Look through other ebooks and books which are about your interest. Look through the information presented and see if you could add additional information or present the information in a different way. This will put you above your competition and could carve a niche for you. If this happens, get ready for serious money.

    Researching your subject

Even if you think you know everything about you interest, the truth is, you probably don't. There are always going to be scraps of information which you haven't picked up on, and it could be these scraps that put you above your competition. This is why research is such an important step in creating your own ebook. Your ebook has to answer all the questions that someone reading it might have. If it doesn't, your reader will be disappointed.

    Writing your ebook

Write your ebook in a series of chapters. This will make it easy for readers to navigate around your ebook and find the information they need. It will also make it easier for you to write various sections and decide what to include and what not to include. Be constantly checking for spelling mistakes. People don't want to pay for a sloppy ebook and it will give them a poor impression.

How Viral Ebooks Can Lead to Lifetime Income

    By Joseph Pattison

Success on the Internet is supposed to be difficult, right? Wrong. All you have to do to succeed on the Internet, or anywhere else in life, is to help others to succeed. I'll show you how to supplement your online income through simple ebooks.

You may already know where I'm headed with this article. If you guessed that the strategy I'm about to share with you centered around the concept of viral marketing, then you're correct.

But I'm also going to share a few things with you that you may have never known about before.

When you give away a free ebook, maybe ten to twenty pages in length, and allow others to give it away as well, you have created your own viral marketing campaign.

But how do you use this viral marketing campaign to develop a month-in, month-out, residual income?

There are two easy steps to making this happen:

    1. Write your short ebook about a simple Internet Marketing "formula" that is easy to apply.

For example, you could write about a creative way to use Google Adwords for massive online profits. Or a new method for success with affiliate marketing.

    2. Integrate an online residual income opportunity into your free ebook. You could reveal to your readers a proven method for success with Adwords, and then tell them how much more profitable they could be by signing up for your residual income (in many cases network marketing) opportunity.

In order to develop your income, you could allow people to brand the free ebook with their own links. If they signed up for the residual income opportunity, great. If not, then the next time the ebook is given away, an even greater number of people will be exposed to the opportunity, thus giving you even more potential for profit.

Here is a sample formula: Use Google Adwords to direct surfers to a newsletter sign-up page. After subscribing (or not), visitors are directed toward a merchant site that you earn affiliate commission from every time a sale is made. Newsletter subscribers receive your e-mail autoresponder about an Internet marketing concept, where you then develop a residual income stream every time someone signs up through that autoresponder.

You can expand on this formula, or create one of your own. It doesn't have to be more than ten to fifteen pages long, and once you give someone an incentive to give this free ebook away, you can begin earning residual income for life! Enjoy!

5 Sizzling Tips to Creating a Money Making E-book

    By Jan Peterson

5 Sizzling Tips to Create a Winning E-book

If you have been looking for a genuine business opportunity on the internet, somewhere along the way, you have heard about creating an e-book. And no doubt, you have read about the thousands of dollars you can make from home publishing. It just gets your juices going to think you could write an e-book and sell it to people all over the World and create an income that can replace your job. The excitement sets in but then the reality hits. You say to yourself, "I hate to write, I failed writing in school, my friends laugh at me because I can't spell." Or, maybe the voice rattling around in your head screaming failure says, "What would I write about, I don't know enough about anything to write a book…"

Here are 5 sizzling tips to help you on your way to creating a winning e-book.

    1. The Easy Way

No matter what advice I might offer, there are some of you out there that just don't want to write. The best thing to do is to find people that have already written a quality e-book and will offer you a resale license or agreement. Sometimes it is free if you buy the book which is what I do. And others charge a small fee for the complete resale rights. All in all, for most e-books out there, you can buy them for under $100 with resale rights. A business is born. Try and look for newer e-books and those that would be interesting to you. E-books that make the most amount of money teach you how to avoid pain or how to gain pleasure.

    2. Another Great Idea

Go to the top article directories and search for articles in your subject of interest. For example, if you wanted to write a book that helps people save money on their taxes, go to several article directories and look up what articles have been written on that subject matter. If you see twenty great tips that can save people up to $1000 a year or more, you could compile a report that says something like "20 Tax Saving Strategies You Can't Afford to Miss." Of course, you can't use these articles word for word because that is illegal but you can write down your own thoughts and ideas about each of the tips and re-write them in your own words. Now you can market this on the internet and sell it for $39.95. Do you think some reasonable portion of the 265 million people that live in the USA are interested in tax savings? You bet!

    3. The Born Writer

Some years ago, Reader's Digest reported that some 70% of people acknowledge they had a book inside of them they wanted to write one day. Most of us have something we want to share but many times just don't know where to get started or feel overwhelmed by writing a whole book. This is where e-books can be fun. Most e-books are about 50 pages long with 12pt type and paragraphs double spaced. They really aren't that long. If you break your e-book down into tips or ideas, it is easier to write. For instance, if you generated 50 tips, you would have one page per tip. That's not so daunting! And, for heaven's sake, write when you feel like writing. I have found that I can write twice as much when I feel inspired. And the quality is oh so much better!

    4. What's Hot?

If you are at a loss of what to write about, go to Amazon.com and find out what the best sellers are. They are a wonderful resource for anyone. Let's say your interest is in the top weight loss programs. Order the 3 best selling books, read them and then write your own e-book. If it is a subject matter you are interested in, you'll breeze through the books and have lots of ideas and comments. Even if your interests don't seem like you would have much of an audience, you might be surprised to find out otherwise. Going to Overture and typing in your keyword is always helpful. For most subjects there are thousands if not millions of people that want to know more. If you can provide them with quality information, they will buy from you.

    5. Teach What you Know

Most of us have some kind of a specialty but don't recognize our talents. "No talent lies latent." It could be anything from raising a difficult child to coaching basketball. Or it could be related to a job you have held whether it is a mechanic for sports cars or a software developer. Your e-book could simply be teaching someone how to do it better. Or maybe it is how to save time, or money or enjoy life more or to live healthier. People want better lives and if you show them some solutions, you'll sell your e-book. Remember, your e-book doesn't and shouldn't be a novel. Break things down into steps or ideas and the writing will go smoother.

I hope these 5 simple tips have ignited the fire in your brain and inspired you to write that e-book. A business opportunity will be born.

5 Biggest Mistakes People Make When Marketing Niche Ebooks and How to Avoid It

    By Raymond Lai

Marketing your niche e-book isn’t difficult when you know the pitfalls and how to avoid them.

5 of the biggest mistakes people make are:

    a) trying to do everything at once,
    b) designing a pretty website
    c) focusing too much on selling products instead of growing their list,
    d) not having a marketing plan, and
    e) failing to create innovative products that sell themselves.

The biggest problem I see is people trying to do everything at once; they get confused and overwhelmed and nothing gets done. They don’t know how to create an Internet business step-by-step that takes people through a funnel; they just start creating pieces that don’t work because they don’t understand the function of each piece or why they are creating them. When I work with people, I get them to look at what they are trying to accomplish in a systematic way. I then help them create the pieces that will move their customers through their funnel and get them to buy.

The second mistake people make is designing a website for looks, not sales.

One of the problems is that people are ignorant; they rely on a web designer and many of them unfortunately don’t understand Internet marketing. I’ve seen people spend $10,000 on website design and still not have a website that works! It’s important to educate yourself so you know what you’re getting in a web designer.

In any niche ebook on internet marketing you’ll learn what you need to know to create an effective web site whether you work with a web designer or do it yourself! And, I promise it will save you a lot of time, money and aggravation.

The 3rd problem people make is creating too much product when they have no buyers! It’s better to approach it in layers and create the products you need to get started and then create more as you go. In the meantime, you want to work on building your list using one or two tactics at a time-not all at once. I’ll help you build a successful business that works!

Another problem is people focusing on selling their e-book to the exclusion of everything else. They fail to see other opportunities and streams of income- they leave a lot of cash on the table because they don’t understand how to capitalize on it all. You will learn all the different ways you can maximize the profits.!

And finally, there are two ways to make money on the Internet, by marketing and by innovating. I think you need to do both and I can show you how so that you are considered the ONLY choice in your field. With my creative background and innovative programs, I’ve proved that I know how to do this and I can help you achieve the same kind of success in your business.

Selling Ebooks? Learn How to Make Your Ebook Sell

    By John Sweeney

One of the most common questions we get at Ebook Architect is “how much money will I make selling ebooks? Well, like most businesses the answer will depend on many different factors. For example the amount of time you put into the promotion of your ebook will have a direct consequence on sales and market interest in your ebook topic is another important factor. People who are good at picking good ebook topics and promoting their ebooks usually stand to make a lot of money with ebooks.

    How Much Money You Ask?

Some Ebook entrepreneurs lose money in the course of a year while some make hundreds of thousands of dollars. More realistically however is somewhere in between these two points. Many ebook authors make between $5,000 and $20,000 a year.

    How to Maximize Ebook Sales

The best way to ensure optimum sales is to constantly promote your ebook. This may mean staying in on weekends and staying up late during the week. Some of the best ways to promote your ebook include buying advertising from large advertising portals such as Google and Yahoo, partaking in link exchanges, writing articles for websites and Ezines, building an information dense website and writing great ebook sales pages. Accomplishing all of this is no minor feat. You should expect to be in product development for between 1-6 months and then the promotional aspect may take another 4-12 months. It’s not necessarily an easy job but as stated above the payoff could be substantial.

    Worst Case Scenario

Even if you decide half way through the process that ebook entrepreneurship is not your cup of tea, you will still have written an ebook and be selling it online. That makes you an author; congratulations. Not only will you be an author but your ebook may give you some extra pocket change on a monthly basis. If nothing else, it will be a good learning experience. You have nothing to lose, so why not give it a shot?

    How to Write an Ebook

    By Karen Martin

The hardest part of writing is the first sentence. When you look at the whole project, it seems like an impossible task. That's why you have to break it down into manageable tasks. Think of climbing a mountain. You are standing at the foot of it and looking up at its summit vanishing into the clouds. How can you possibly scale such an immense and dangerous mountain?

There is only one way to climb a mountain ? step by step.

Now think of writing your ebook in the same light. You must create it step by step, and one day, you will take that last step and find yourself standing on the summit with your head in the clouds.

The first thing you have to do, as if you actually were a mountain climber, is to get organized. Instead of climbing gear, however, you must organize your thoughts. There are some steps you should take before you begin. Once you've gone through the following list, you will be ready to actually begin writing your ebook.

Beginning Steps to Writing an ebook

First, figure out your ebook's working title. Jot down a few different titles, and eventually, you'll find that one that will grow on you. Titles help you to focus your writing on your topic; they guide you in anticipating and answering your reader's queries. Many non-fiction books also have subtitles. Aim for clarity in your titles, but cleverness always helps to sell books ? as long as it's not too cute. For example, Remedies for Insomnia: twenty different ways to count sheep. Or: Get off that couch: fifteen exercise plans to whip you into shape.

Next, write out a thesis statement. Your thesis is a sentence or two stating exactly what problem you are addressing and how your book will solve that problem. All chapters spring forth from your thesis statement.Once you've got your thesis statement fine-tuned,you've built your foundation. From that foundation, your book will grow, chapter by chapter.

Your thesis will keep you focused while you write your ebook. Remember: all chapters must support your thesis statement. If they don't, they don't belong in your book. For example, your thesis statement could read:We've all experienced insomnia at times in our lives, but there are twenty proven techniques and methods to give you back a good night's sleep.

Once you have your thesis, before you start to write, make sure there is a good reason to write your book.Ask yourself some questions:

    * Does your book present useful information and is that information currently relevant?

    * Will you book positively affect the lives of your readers?

    * Is your book dynamic and will it keep the reader's attention?

    * Does you book answer questions that are meaningful and significant?

If you can answer yes to these questions, you can feel confident about the potential of your ebook.

Another important step is to figure out who your target audience is. It is this group of people you will be writing to, and this group will dictate many elements of your book, such as style, tone, diction, and even length. Figure out the age range of your readers, their general gender, what they are most interested in, and even the socio-economic group they primarily come from. Are they people who read fashion magazines or book reviews? Do they write letters in longhand or spend hours every day online. The more you can pin down your target audience, the easier it will be to write your book for them.

Next, make a list of the reasons you are writing your ebook. Do you want to promote your business? Do you want to bring quality traffic to your website? Do you want to enhance your reputation?

Then write down your goals in terms of publishing. Do you want to sell it as a product on your website, or do you want to offer it as a free gift for filling out a survey or for ordering a product? Do you want to use the chapters to create an e-course, or use your ebook to attract affiliates around the world? The more you know upfront, the easier the actual writing will be.

Decide on the format of your chapters. In non-fiction, keep the format from chapter to chapter fairly consistent. Perhaps you plan to use an introduction to your chapter topic, and then divide it into four subhead topics. Or you may plan to divide it into five parts, each one beginning with a relevant anecdote.

How to make your ebook "user friendly"

You must figure out how to keep your writing engaging.Often anecdotes, testimonials, little stories, photos, graphs, advice, and tips will keep the reader turning the pages. Sidebars are useful for quick, accessible information, and they break up the density of the page.

Write with a casual, conversational tone rather than a formal tone such as textbook diction. Reader's respond to the feeling that you are having a conversation with them. Break up the length and structure of your sentences so you don?t hypnotize your readers into sleep. Sentences that are all the same length and structure tend to be a good aid for insomnia!

Good writing takes practice. It takes lots and lots of practice. Make a schedule to write at least a page a day. Read books and magazines about the process of writing, and jot down tips that jump out at you. The art of writing is a lifetime process; the more you write (and read), the better your writing will become. The better your writing becomes, the bigger your sales figures.

In an ebook that is read on the screen, be aware that you must give your reader's eye a break. You can do this by utilizing white space. In art classes, white space is usually referred to as "negative space." Reader's eyes need to rest in the cool white oasises you create on your page. If your page is too dense, your reader will quit out of it as soon as their eyes begin to tear.

Make use of lists, both bulleted and numbered. This makes your information easy to absorb, and gives the reader a mental break from dissecting your paragraphs one after the other.

Finally, decide on an easy-to-read design. Find a font that's easy on the eyes, and stick to that font family. Using dozens of fonts will only tire your readers out before they've gotten past your introduction. Use at least one and a half line spacing, and text large enough to be read easily on the screen, but small enough so that the whole page can be seen on a computer screen. You will have to experiment with this to find the right combination.

Of course, don't forget to run a spell and grammar check. You are judged by something as minor as correct punctuation, so don?t mess up a great book by tossing out semicolons randomly, or stringing sentences together with commas. (By the way, that's called a "comma splice.")

Last of all, create an index and a bibliography. That's it! You've written a book! Now all you have to do is publish your ebook online, and wait for download request from your website visitors.
